About the owner/manager Chelyn Dokken
Growing up riding and working with horses I had my first industry job at 13, assistant barn manager at Mississippi View Farms in Minnesota. There I learned how to operate a boarding facility and proper horse care from day to day. At the age of 14 I began working as an assistant trainer at the same facility mostly training young horses and getting them there first show experience as well as many other firsts for them. At the age of 18 I was asked by Esther Buenano to come to work at Tempel Lipizzan’s in Illinois I started as a working student and over the 4 years there worked my way up to trainer status. From there I sought to gain more show experience and went to work as an assistant trainer to Andrianna Patzwald in Illinois. I did this for 1 year after which I struck out on my own doing traveling training in southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois keeping up with clinics to continue growing my knowledge. Through my years learning and growing as a horsewoman I participated in clinics with Conrad Schumacher, Andreas Hausberger, Lendon Gray and Carole Grant. I have worked with and trained all disciplines and all ages. About a year and a half ago my Family and I made the decision to move to Arizona and I have spent the last year and a half building my business and reputation here. I am in this industry for the amazing animals many of us call family their care and treatment is number one. My program strives to provide top quality care and training at an affordable price. I have always and will always care more about the horses and people I am working with than the money I make from them. There is no greater joy in this world than a horse and rider just enjoying each other and achieving their goals.
